2019 Weed Cutting Season

Attention all residents on East and West Loon Lakes.

If you haven’t seen it already, we have a brand new weed cutter on the lakes this year! Loon Lakes Management Association is very proud to announce we have purchased a new weed harvester and will begin our cutting season this week.

This has been a very hard decision by the board to purchase this machine to help everyone enjoy our lakes. This purchase, however, is not without consequences. In order for our organization to purchase this machine, we had to make many cuts in our budget. These omissions will be permanent until further notice until we can pay off the weed harvester.

Therefore, we are announcing, there will be NO CHEMICAL WEED TREATMENTS ON THE LAKES for the Asian Milfoil. We will only cut the weeds.

LLMA’s budget is very limited and depends on your donations to help us provide the services you’ve enjoyed in the past – fish stocking, chemical weed treatment, website network, etc. We have had to reexamine each and every expense to keep our lakes clean and healthy.

If you are interested in providing your future generations with the memories you have had on these wonderful lakes, please help support our organization with your donations.

Our Annual Picnic/Election is held every year to help us with our yearly expenses. Please come and meet us and discuss what you can do to help. The food is free and we ask everyone to please bring a dish to share! There will be raffles and bingo! The date is July 27th (with a rain date of July 28th) from 11 am to 3 pm at Northshore Beach, Lakeview Drive, Antioch. We will be voting for our Vice President and Secretary this year, so come on by and sign your ballot. Check out the flyer and share with your neighbors and friends.

LLMA Is Now A Tax Free Organization

The Loon Lakes Management Association is happy to announce that we are now a 501(c)(3) charitable organization!

This means the donations you make in the future to our association will be tax deductible!

We are very happy about this as money is tight every year to accomplish all the things we need to sustain the health of our two lakes.

If you would like to donate to Loon Lakes Management Association, click above on the tab “Donations to LLMA” and fill in the attached form.  You can give your donation to your Director or send in to our P.O. Box and you will receive a donation letter for your tax returns.
